HONOLULU, HI (July 14, 2020) – DJ Kutmaster Spaz is using the universal power of music to support the fight against cancer. “As a non-profit organization with a strong foundation in community events, the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the American Cancer Society’s fundraising activities. Cancer hasn’t stopped, so we must continue to fund life-saving research and support programs for patients,” stated Elisabeth Case of the American Cancer Society in Honolulu.

“Our Virtual DJ Dance Party benefitting programs such as Hope Lodge allows individuals to enjoy their favorite music while supporting cancer patients during treatment when they’re away from home,” continued Michelle Hashimoto, Manager of Hope Lodge in Honolulu.

The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge Hawai‘i, which serves cancer patients travelling to O‘ahu for cancer treatment from Maui, Kauai, the Big Island, Moloka‘i, and Lna‘i.  Funds raised will support Hope Lodge’s free overnight stays for patients and caregivers.

“I’m so excited to dedicate my show on Sunday, July 19 at 5 – 7 pm to the American Cancer Society,” said Kutmaster Spaz, who hosts a show every Sunday night for the delight of his fans.   “I’m depending on my listeners to open their hearts and wallets to support our own Hope Lodge Hawai‘i.  In celebration, we’ll have fun with music to raise awareness for this vital cause.”
