Paint Hawaii Purple – Capitol Ceremony Nov. 1

Aloha Friends and Supporters,

As the American Cancer Society Relay For Life marks 31 years of bringing hope to communities nationwide, volunteers from all over the world have an opportunity to celebrate the progress we’ve made in the fight against cancer. Whether you’re a donor, team member, team captain or a part of our Relay committee, your contributions have made a significant impact on the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving work.

As we mark this milestone, we want to celebrate the role Relay For Life volunteers have played in the fight against cancer. We are asking the community to PAINT HAWAII PURPLE in order to visually depict how Relay For Life brings hope. Our campaign this year runs from October 31 – November 5 with various promotions and events happening across the islands.

A Celebration of Hope
A Celebration of Hope

We invite you to join us for our Paint Hawaii Purple at the Capitol ceremony on Tuesday November 1 from 6-7 pm at the Hawaii State Capitol Building, (415 S. Beretania Street Honolulu), for a celebration of HOPE; honoring all those who have been touched by cancer. The event will include a proclamation by the Lt. Governor, a silent luminaria ceremony and speeches by key staff and volunteers of ACS Hawaii.  Parking at the capitol will be open. Prior to the event, we will also be sign waving along Beretania Street and would love you to join us starting at 5:30pm. Please come wearing purple and join us in our ceremony to show our passion and resolve and end this disease!
