Childhood Cancer awareness

Saving lives and preventing suffering are central to the American Cancer Society’s mission
for all adults and children facing cancer – at any age and any stage.

We do it for the children
We do it for the children

ACS provides many resources for support including videos and books such as:

“Jacob Has Cancer: His Friends Want to Help” written by Heather Cooper, Heather Paschal,
and Melanie Williams, and illustrated by Lindsey McMillion. A special coloring book for the
friends and classmates of children with cancer. This unique, award-winning coloring book
helps friends and classmates understand how a child with cancer might feel and how they can
interact with him. The book features clear, easy-to-understand language and drawings. Its
format allows children to express their feelings and encourages communication about cancer.
