The American Cancer Society Hawai’i Pacific’s Fourth Annual Hope Gala Honolulu, set for 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7th, will transform the lawn of the Hawai’i State Art Museum into a night in the French Quarter in New Orleans.
Gala co-chairs this year are City Mill’s Steven Ai and Dr. Maryellen Markley. “This year’s event is all about taking care of our own here in Hawai’i”, said Maryellen. “One of the most exciting events we are supporting this year is the opening of Hope Lodge, a new facility where patients who need cancer treatment on Oahu can stay for free during their care. It will help ensure the best access to treatment and less worry for those we love, especially those coming from the neighbor islands.”
Steven adds, “I am thrilled to lend my support to our Hope Gala Honolulu. The event helps to support all the important work of the American Cancer Society through research, patient support, and advocacy for our communities. And this year in particular also helping bring our Hope Lodge to fruition.”
Entertainment line-up throughout the evening will feature Jazz vocalist Shari Lynn and her band, as well as the Dixieland Jazz ensemble. The evening starts with custom cocktails, a silent auction, and a roving Barber Shop Quartet, all out under the stars at the beautiful Hawai’i State Art Museum. This will be followed by an incredible variety of dinner choices, coffee drinks and specialty desserts for everyone and a live auction.
We are grateful to our Presenting sponsor, The Queen’s Medical Center, along with other top gala sponsors Element Media, KITV, and Hawaiian Electric Company.
