Hope Lodge Hawaii Groundbreaking July 24 at 4:30. Watch Live

Watch live this Friday at 4:30 pm as the American Cancer Society breaks ground to the Hope Lodge Hawai`i.

Each year, an average of 650 cancer patients travel from the neighbor islands to Honolulu for life-saving cancer treatment. Some fly back and forth daily so they can be at home as they battle this disease.  Others choose to stay on O’ahu during their treatment. Both options place an immense financial burden on patients and their families during a hard time.

Hope Lodge is a home-away-from-home for adult cancer patients and their caregivers. Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatement may be in Honolulu.  Hope Lodge provides a nurturing, home-like environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others.  Hope Lodge also offers a variety of resources and information about cancer and how best to fight the disease.

The American Cancer Society’s Clarence T.C. Ching Hope Lodge Hawai’i will make a life-saving difference for neighbor island cancer patients.  Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows guests to focus on getting well.
